Default '04 SXT will not crank

OK guys im hoping someone can shed some light to my problem cause i cannot seem to find anyone who can. I have a '04 Dodge Neon SXT auto with 100k miles. I recieved this car around 3 months ago on a trade and been driving it as my DD.

Here is my situation, Around a month ago i parked n went to class came back out and my car would not start it just would click as if battery was dead and wouldnt turn over so i walked dwn to parts store got a new battery n out n it. It started up just fine after new battery instal. Drove it home then drove to town that evening and went n store came back out and it did it again so i thought alternator was bad. Had a buddy come give me a jump but still wouldnt start it would just crank one time n stop. So finally as it would start to crank i pushed the gas pedal down and it started up. Went about 2.5 weeks without a problem so had no clue. Last week it did it again but this time it would not even crank once turn key n nothing (all lights work ect) i poped off both battery term. put back on jumped n it and it would crank one time again like before turned key pushed gas down n it started up again. Yesterday it did it again and the term pullin/gas pedal trick wouldnt work. So, i put it in neautral and got it rolling backwards (almost not moving just a lil) and turned key it started up which makes no sense to me cause its auto n in neutral so no effect on flywheel etc. got to my buddys house and it did again did same thing wit moving start. This morning got in it and it started up just fine went to class then to buddy's house n it wouldnt start. So we started testin it out, it pulls no codes off the computer. we then tested power to starter n its getting power (also switched out relay no help) so thought mayb neutral safety switch but no repair book to know exactly where it was. pulled airbox to look under battery at tranny n seen a plastic plug screwed into the tranny is this the NSS? pulled it out n relaxed it was magnetized wondering if speed sensor? well we were both puzzled n desided to put it back together.. put it all back together turned key n it started right up.. drove (30 miles) back to my house and right before pullin n my driveway it acted as if it was acclerating without being on gas well i droped it to neutral and it was revin weird.. bouncing between 2-3k rpms without my foot on the gas also a cracking sound coming from the exhaust.. got it into my parkin spot n turned it off.. tried to start it again and it will not start again..

Any suggestions would be Greatly appreciated also comfirmation on the location of neutral control switch?

Thanks in advance!
