Question Rear break cylinder question!

Hey guys, Yesterday my right rear break cylinder starting leaking break fluid and eventually drained my break reservoir tank. I bought a new bottle of break fluid in and it still slowly leaks at the right rear...

my mechanic told me to change both back rear cylinders and possibly
break drums or he said the rotors..is this something that's important to change as well as the both cylinders? my break pads are fine so there wasn't nor was metal on metal breaking ever.

Having cylinders, I'm guessing you have drum brakes in the rear? Either way, it doesn't matter. You don't need to replace them if nothing is wrong with them.

Yes because one if you only replace one cylinder then one of them is more worn than the other one. You might as well replace both and save yourself the trouble of replacing the other one down the road. As soon as break fluid leaks on those shoes they are junk.

The same thing happened to me, I replaced both rear cylinders, all of the shoes and drums. Got the drums from autozone and they were out of round out of the damn box. I was so f*cking pissed, still need to go through all of the hassle to take that stuff off and claim the warranty.
