Default Gas Milage?

On a bone stock 2002 SXT how many miles should I expect on a normal drive? I am getting about 215 now, does this sound normal. Its only 23.50 to fill up my tank. Thanks for the info

I'm going about 305 on a full tank on my '03 SE with a few mods, and fill up at around $20 or so. Dunno, boss.

i believe neon get like 26 city and 34 or 35 highway stock. I u get a cola air intake and tornado it will do u some good. Check ur oil and oil filter, check ur radiator fluid, transmission, brake fluid, every fluid. Check air filter and when u fill up some times get lucas oils injector cleaners, helps get rid of carbon build up and helps with clean fuel injected by keeping the injectors lubed up. Spark plugs and wires will help igntion timing, get ngk iridiums not platinums. i get great gas mileage like an average of 30 or so unless i race it then it burns faster. on a normal tank of 87 octane with lucas oils i get maybe 300 to 325mpg. On 89 octane with lucas oils i get 315 to 330 on full tanks till it nearly hits zero after passing my reserves. Oh ya and reset ur ecu by removing the negative terminal on your battery for 15 minutes. Then drive around a little bit should help alot. remeber these number come from a neon 03 sxt manual with mods and running catless so ur number should get better if u do this, but it wont be the same cause manuals get better gas mileage. Driving 60 is good cruising speed.

unfortunately it is hard to actually answer you question due to arbitrary and incomplete info. Dollars to fill up and mile between gas ups are not worth alot.

However, assuming 2.25 gas and thus about 10.45 gallons you are currently getting about 20 MPG. That is poor but not outrageaous depending on the car. If you have an Automatic and run with your foot on the floor then not bad. If you do highway miles near 65 MPH with a manual trans then it SUX!!! So A little more help is in order.

If you are using premium from around here your milage would be nearer to 23+ which in an auto that I drove before getting my stick about right!
