Default New battery

The battery in my '05 is the original and I'm thinking about replacing it before I get stuck somewhere. I'm also thinking about a rebuilt one for $28 instead of a new one that is around $85. Any thoughts on both questions?

A rebuilt battery? never hear of such an animal. Personally I would get a new one.

Maybe he meant recharged battery sounds more like it. I would get a new one also better in the long run.

I always buy a new battery. I've never heard of a "refurbished" battery either.

Here in Denver there are several places that offer for sale rebuilt batteries for around $30 with a 2 year garantee. They just replace the insides on recyled batteries. They are very popular here.
Rocky Mountain Battery Service in Wheatridge, Colorado is one.
