Sway bar
i have a neon dropped, stock rims and low pro tires and upper rear and front strut bars. I want sway bars and im wanting to know if i need just a rear sway bar from progress or should i get front and rear from eibach or suspension techniques. I drive aggressively once in a while and the lowering and tires help. What do u guys and girls reccommend.
Really all you need is the rear especially if you take it around curves alot... eibach has been doin it longer and wins a lotta races and has race engineered everything they do so eibach is prolly my choice. But unless youre autocrossing w/ it isnt necessary. Mine turns like its on rails so I dont feel I need it. I will give props to dodge for the way they handle mine handles better then any car Ive ever owned and Ive had like 23 of em. SAD isnt it. Im only 23........LOL
Heck a few years ago alot of Front WD race cars were actually taking out the front sway bar and adding nasty big rears. The rears cause it to tend towards oversteer and the front towards understeer. Understeer being a safety issue in a stock (Non-professionaly driven - race car standards) car. As understeering results in more steering in the direction ou want to go. However oversteering you turn into a sprint car on dirt - ie. turn right to go left.
If you want something tomake the car more responsive and turn in better then adding(My Neon came without a rear) or upgrading to a larger rear will help it to turn. However if you go too much and feel unsafe you can add a bigger front or find a smaller rear.
If you tie everything together too tight for the conditions you still will not go as fast as you can. Just remember you need some comliance in a street car or you will just bounce off in a corner. Bigger is not always better just keep it within reason.

I have the eibach sway bar setup on mine. 24mm up front, 22mm in the back. My car really holds the road now. It feels like its glued to the pavement now. I would recommend eibachs kit to someone. Pretty easy to install, and it comes with everything you need. And its a big improvement over stock.

How much should I expect to pay for somthing like this?
And just, how easy is it to install? I don't even have a garage, just a carport and a $19.99 tool set from Target.

I think mine cost under 300 for the kit. You don't need lots of tools. I'm not sure I would attempt it only in a carport unless its warm where you are. You'll spend a couple hours on your backside installing things. Its not really that hard to do, nor does it require a lot of tools. Just a jack, jack stands, and a decent socket/wrench, tool set will do.
