Hello, newbie here.
Got a 2000 Plymouth Neon, daily driver, 277,000 miles, original engine, never overhauled.
Anyway very dependable, very minimal maintenance costs over the years.
Well Mr. Dependable won't start.
New battery about 3 months ago.
Came home from a 2 week vacation and went to start it and it turned over for a brief while then nothing.
Battery still good just no starter.
Any thoughts?
Solenoid or Starter?
Best way to check?

Usually you would replace the starter and the solenoid as an assembly. Another possibility is corrosion after it has been sitting for so long.
