Im gonna get out again under it this morning with a buddy thats a alignment guy at a dealership as the weather is nice and cool. I have a lift here at home so its easy to get under there. I just havnt worked much on this car as it was my daughters away at college for 5 years so im re-learning fwd! Nothing I have is fwd cept for this so its not familiar.

So....buddy says there aint nothing under there that isnt right or that needs replacing. We both agree this is totally a transmission problem causing everything. As forthe engine/trans rocking back and forth its just the type of mounts that dont really hold it steady and thats why so many people go to solid type mounts. I know on the supercharged Cobalt my son had we had to go to solid mounts becaise of the same problem of things moving around too much.

The drama continues on this problem...

Not sure what you mean about inserts?

Well I got tired of messing with it this afternoon and took a break, so went out and bought my wife a Infinity G37s coupe so now our daughter can take my wifes Rav 4X4 and ill drive the Neon as is and not worry bout it. No one else would drive the Neon so now everyone is happy as can be.

Im not into ricers (I drive a 800 rwhp blown Z06 and eat ricers...), but this "ricer" is my wifes choice and I admit it nice and I do like driving it. Its 330 hp gets it up and going quickly and playing with the paddle shifters are kinda fun through the twisties. BUT it is a ricer non the less...

So back to the Neon...I decided tonight to do a WOT off the line to see if it would either blow the trans up or break whatever is going wrong with it or maybe unclog something with higher line pressure WOT. Well it shifted so hard it left rubber into 2nd and drifted me over 1/2 lane to the left. Did the same thing going into 3rd hitting very hard and drifting me over into left lane. So whatever it is, it seems thats the way it wants to be so im just gonna drive it and quite wasting time/money trying to figure it out.

I thank everyoine who has tried to help with diagnosing this...

You need a rebuild probably. Get the trans codes first.
