Default 2ooo Neon trany number

I have a 2000 Dodge Neon with a 3 speed automatic transmission. ( no 2nd gear) I am buying a used one to replace it. Is there a number stamped on the transmission and if so where. I don't want to get stuck buying one that isn't the right replacement. How much transmission oil would i need for the used replacement trany. I would change the gasket and filter in doing the job. I was told ATF transmission fluid was the correct fluid.

All 2000-2001 Neon's have the same auto. It wasn't exactly an "optioned" car as far as available engines and transmissions go. You need ATF+4 fluid, and as for how much, that'll be hard to say with a swap. I'd buy about 8 quarts of ATF+4, add about 4 quarts to start, and start measuring with the dipstick from there.
