ya i have done timing jobs before but never on a neon but i was just mainly wanting know the easiest way to get to it but my question was answered. Now i would be better off on just buying the timing belt kit with everything right...bc isn't it a rule of thumb to change the water pump when u do one.
after I do any timing systems, I always hand turn the crank 2 full revolutions to make sure everything lines up perfect before I button up the job or attempt to start.
That's a very good tip! People don't do this, and then put everything back together and are off one tooth.

The timing belt, water pump and tensioner should all be replaced together, yes. I recommended the other ones because they wear, and since you have to remove them to get to the timing belt, you may as well save yourself the trouble of taking it all apart again later. For example, the motor mount is just about the last thing, if not the last, you remove before you have access to the timing cover.
ok i checked my timing marks and they are lined up and the belt is tight so i dont know where to go now.Dealership said all the sensors are good and told me to do the timing belt but dosent make sense if the marks are lined up and the belt is tight. Im going to try the pcm now.
didnt really check it but fuel preassure isnt going to be it bc only the cam and crank code set and since the cam and crank sensors arnt working right the engine is just dumping fuel into the engine bc it dosent know exactly how much to give it since the can and crank sensors are telling the computer what it wants
