Cold Air Intakes
So while shopping around for some Cold Air Intakes, first place i went was ebay. i managed to really narrow down my searches, but now im stuck with just one slight problem. there are two intakes i was looking at, but i don't see any difference, besides the price.. maybe you can help me out.

so why does one cost way more than the other?!
the only difference i see, is the label and advertising AEM uses.
i check out mopar as well, which was $500.. what am i missing?

With the AEM you are dealing with a large company that most likely has made a few of these so your chance of fitment problems may be less......plus, they will have a listed phone #. The other sounds too good. No name of the maker, no instructions, etc. A CAI for my Ford F-150 runs about $300. The $500 from Mopar sounds nuts. BTW, I'd bet the cheap one is a Chinese copy. Did you notice the name of the seller????

wow man, thanks for the heads up! good thing i decided to ask around before buying it. now i know that im not putting a CAI in my car too :] too pricy for just, what, 8 more horsepower? and a different engine sound. hmm.
The stock system flows more air than the engine needs, so you won't gain any horsepower because none is being "held-back" by the stock system. You also increase your chance of hydrolocking these engines with a CAI if you live in an area that can get heavy rain and puddles in the road (I see you don't, I'm just saying...)
well who knows, the 3 drops of rain we get all year could possibly all land directly into my air intake and damage my engine
i suppose that if i were to ever get that R/T's exhaust, that would be enough of a tune up :]

I just installed an AFE 51-10431 on my 04 Neon last night, simple install and it has a wicked sound to it when you get on the gas. Here is the kit

You can always drop in a k&n filter does the trick also than buying a 180buck intake. I got my ebay intake one of the 1st mods I did when I got my sxt brand new back in 04 and got it for under 50bucks . Alot run with an ebay intake and your just paying for the name with the aems and so on.
I have a generic Ebay intake($45), but I bought an AEM filter. I wouldn't trust those filters the Ebay kits come with.
