Default big problems

my dad is oberdahill and wrote this earlier:

"New to the site and interested in your comments.

Problem: while driving down the road the lights dim and get brighter, locks go up and down, interior light flashes, alarm goes off for no reason, cannot lock the car now because the alarm will go off, interior light stays on, windows are slow going up or down.

2000 Plymouth Neon LX purchased new in 1999. 135,327 miles (all on the Oahu). Car has been sitting in the carport since February trying to figure out the next step.

One person says that it is the sensor..........Our independent mechanic said that there was a service bulletin put out regarding keyless entry module: alarm system inadvertent siren activation.
Dated 25 April 2003.
This bulletin involves replacing and configuring an alarm remote keyless entry module (ARKEM). Models 2000 to 2003. (PL) Neon. This bulletin applies to vehicles equipped with a thatcham alarm (sales code LSC). Symptom conditions: customer may describe inadvertent security alarm activation or security alarm activates for no apparent reason, can happen at any time. If this condition can be duplicated or customer describes this condition, perform the repair procedure.

Any other suggestions? We had the ignition replaced earlier this year, I think the tumblers just wore out. "

one more thing to add is that when I turn the car on white smoke comes out from the hood. It does not happen all the time, but it does do it often. any help would be great! thanks in advance!

White smoke????? do you have an exhaust leak at the Headers? Also maybe its not a sensor rather but crimped or melted wiring rather.......

Could it be antifreeze leaking on your engine or exhaust somewhere?
