Default UDP= No System?

I was looking to get an UDP and my friend said that if I plan to put a system in, which I do (subs, comp. speakers, amps, vid. screens ect.) Then I can't get a system because it wont be able to be powered or some **** like that. I never herd of this but am curious does this info sound true? Thanks

Default RE: UDP= No System?

the udp will spin the alternator slower, but the only time youll really have any issues with a "system" is at idle.

i ran my "system" with ~1400 clean watts for quite a while on my mpx udp on my 1st gen.

theres also the Adam K. overdrive pulley for the alternator. you could use that to compensate for the slower turning by the udp.
