Default Need some help with my 2005 SXT.

I am more than a little confused about what is going on with my poor car. Last Monday, I took it into the dealership with a P0507 check engine code. They said it was being caused by the seal around the IAC not being tight enough. They replaced it (or so they said) and I took it home. Yesterday I go out to my car to start it up and the car won't start. If you continued giving the car gas, the engine will stay running but the moment you take your foot off the gas, the car dies. There is no check engine light at all, if there was my life would be a lot easier. Has anyone else had this problem or know what could be causing it?

A check engine light only comes on mainly for emissions related codes. There could still be codes and no CEL. Also, that code you typed is incorrect. Should that be a 0 instead of an S?

Opps...sorry. Yes it should be PO507. Sorry, typo there. I'll go fix it.

Have you used a scanner to see if there are any other codes?

P0507 Possible Causes:
PCV SYSTEM
IAC MOTOR PASSAGES
VACUUM LEAKS
AIR INDUCTION SYSTEM
THROTTLE BODY AND THROTTLE LINKAGE

Yep. My Dad got a code reader for Christmas last year and he checked it for me. The P0507 was the only code showing. We checked it before I took it to the Dealer. I was hoping that they could tell me more about it but for some reason they went a head and fixed the seal around the IAC without even telling me what was wrong with it. I'm more than a little pissed about that but that's another story.
