Default Suddenly died.......

So my car died at idle ...thinking because i got a code for the cam sensor..maybe the cam sensor died...i took it off to get it replaced and out of curiosity i had my girl turn it over and i noticed the cam wasn't turning so i went to the timing belt side and took that little tab out and turned it over again and the cam wasn't turning....so is it safe to say the timing belt snapped? needless to say im not trying to start it again.

If the engine is turning over a lot faster than it usually does than you can be the timing belt is broken. You might be investing in a new engine soon sorry to say.

If the belt is broken, trying to start it isn't going to hurt anymore. You'll have to take the cover off and check.
