Default 02 problems

I have an 02 neon se and my catalytic converter went bad. What's the cheapest way to get a reliable cat. I was thinking a junkyard or something? Also how hard is it to replace them yourself.

Absolute cheapest ??? I'd have to agree with the salvage yard route ... OR jack up the neighbors cars and cut theirs off in the middle of the night ....

I'm new to these cars also, I've been hearing that some of these guys are having minor problems with the automatics ... my STX is a 5spd with 116,8xx miles and I have no problems with mine at all.

Here's a link that may give you some ideas ...
