So i have a 2001 neon se with the 2.o sohc. I wanna buy new plug wires and i found a set i like via ebay (i want a more performance style and have too much paypal credit so i need to buy via ebay) and they are listed as being for the 95-99 for the 2.0 dohc. According to a search on google, some plug wires still match from the from the first gen to the second and dont matter if dohc or sohc, The brand is called Option racing and would they work still?

You have extra money sitting in your PayPal, so you are going to buy more expensive stuff than what you need? "Performance" wires/plugs aren't going to do a whole lot of anything without mods that need them. Just find OEM replacement wires IMO.

 

-And you can also order new Autolite Professional Series plug wires through Advance Auto, type in the P20 code in the discount box at checkout, and also use your Paypal for it. It would be roughly $36 to have them shipped to me. Should be the same $$ for you. Unless you're just looking for a different color of wire for your car, the hi-po wires won't do a thing like Darth stated...

No 1st gen plugs and wires wont fit into a 2nd gen I tried my 1st gens in my sxt and two different sizes. So just stick with 2000-2002 and get some close to oem those others are just for looks . I had some msd wires and they were just for looks the oem are just as good and also for performance mods also I just got some oem like wires from autozone and they work nicely with all my engine goodies.

 

you could also just go to the PayPal site and ask them to send you a PayPal Visa debit card... then you could go anywhere you want and use yer balance like a debit card

 

You can use paypal on amazon and theres some nice decent wires over on there for your yr neon.
