Angry 2001 neon

ok Im bout at my wits end with this P.O.S.... I've had the car for a year and had a blissfull 2 WEEKS of trouble free driving!!!!!!!! 2 FRICKIN WEEKS!

I was drivin down the road the other day and the car just lost all power. The engine would jump all over the place at idle, had to keep the gas pedal to the floor just to go 5mph. (no joke) I limped the car home.. no codes! not even the p1684.

I replaced the coil, new autolite copper plugs (gapped to .035) twice, tps sensor, crank sensor (new one brought up p0351, p0352), cam sensor (new one brought up p0340 and gone are the p0351, p0352). Checked compression, all 4 cylinders at 177-184. Ive checked all the harnesse for continuity. all pass. fuel pressure was verified with fp guage. I cleaned the map just to get the p0108 for that now... no i havent replace that yet.

I can get the car to start but barely.. if i hold the throttle down while i crank it over, but it stumbles then dies.

current reacurring codes are p1684, p0108, p0340

Im certainly not a nubie to these cars, ive owned 5 and never had the problems of this one. ANY help is GREATLY appreciated

You mention the engine "would jump all over the place at idle" and you have DTC P0108. Have you checked all vacuum lines, along with the accordian-looking bellows tube (look inside all of the grooves) on the intake, for a leak?

I checked all the engine bay vacuum lines and they looked good, im not sure of any other of the lines elsewhere on the car tho.

I pulled the entire intake, rubber tube and plastic runners to check for cracks/holes/leaks. It all looks good. reset codes but still get a p0340. if i put the old cam sensor back in, the code disappears but same conditions exist. Only will start floored and then stalls when you release the pedal.
