Default AEM CAI: How to fix the "Tuba" noise

A lot of people have been posting about their car sounding like a tuba or a big ocean liner exiting a barge at low RPMs. This thread is not for people who have small sounds or vibrations. I've never had any problems with my intake aside from the tuba sounding noise, which we are about to fix. I've also got some pms about people having this problem, so I'm going to show everyone how to fix it. It's really easy to fix, and should only take you a few minutes. (Please note, that I didn't use the addition piece of tubing included with the intake, and using it might or might not have eliminated the problem in the first place.) But if you haven't used it and have the problem, this is for you.

MODS: You could make this a sticky or put in the how to forum, what ever you think would be best so that people see it and fix this problem.

If it's sounding like a tuba then it probably looks like the picture below. The problem is that your AEM CAI is too close to the throttle body and causing extreme vibrations. Notice how the cai is jammed against the throttle body:

All we're going to do is loosen the 2 clamps and pull the rubber insulator out a bit. It will end up looking like this:

I've placed a dime in this picture so you can see how far away the two are from each other. You can use this a reference:

That's it! Your done. Your tuba should be gone for good.
