hi im matt im new here HELP our car stopped just stopped windows work lights all but it will not start there is a red light on top right corner of instrument pane??? help

Welcome to the site. Did you check the owners manual on that red light? Is the battery good? If not can you jump it off or have it replaced? Do you have a OEM security feature with a chipped key?

 

The red light is from your security. What color is your key? It should be grey and have a chip in it. It could be your chips bad and has to be reprogrammed but that's all it is or atleast all I can think of being wrong cause as far as I know of that's all that light is for. I cut my wife a key and it doesn't have a chip so when I try to start it the car will come on for like 2 seconds and shut back off but windows and all that still continue to work. Do the key dance and see what codes happen to come up and that will tell you your problem. Where I live the dealer charges 55 to reprogram that key
