Ok so I have a major problem with my a/c or heat? My motor is drained of coolant....I popped the hood and liquid just poured from the ac drain line? I don't wanna drop 500 at the dealership to have the core replaced but I heard its a pain inb the butt to replace on the neons

Your A/C or heat (HVAC systems) do not have any direct effect on the coolant system that regulates your engine temperature. First identify where the leak is coming from. There should be a drain spout with a petcock on the bottom of your radiator core; get under your car and check there first. If the leak is not there, then check your coolant lines and fittings. Obviously you don't want to start your engine up with little or no coolant in the system either... but I would just fill it with straight water when the engine is cold, and look for leaks. If no leak appears, then start it up with the fill cap sealed, and wait for it to heat up and have a friend monitor the temperature gauge on your dash while you look for leaks (from a safe distance protecting your face from hot water). It could be something as simple as a loose fitting, split hose, or the petcock valve is cracked open a bit. Could also be a bad thermostat, not the end of the world, but a little more time to fix. Get a better understanding of the problem and let us know more so we can help with the issue with better directed advice. Just remember safety first, and if in doubt have a mechanic look at it for a diagnosis if needed first.

thats the thing there are no leaks at all me and my step dad went over it for about 20 min and couldnt find one leak. the only thing i could think of was the core was going bad or something b/c doesnt the coolant flow through the heater core? I have no idea it doesnt make any sense to me now b/c my coolant level hasnt moved a inch since i filled it up yesterday morning.
