Default a/c lines

Ok so I noticed a ton of liquid on the ground under my car this morning and figured I would check it out.....well its all water coming from the ac drain just dripping and I noticed my ac lines had ice all around them....I still only have water for my coolant at the moment and putting the antifreeze in tonight would just water being in there cause it to freeze like that? Or maybe low on freon?

i've never heard of water being in a/c lines before. depending on the ambient temp then yes, just water will freeze. that's part of the reason for antifreeze.

So tonight I'm putting the antifreeze back in I just have to figure out how to drain the radiator....I guess just pull the bottom hose off?

when was the last time your thermostat was replaced? there should be a small drain plug on the bottom of the radiator that looks kinda like a wing nut. i'll go look at mine in a little and edit this post with my findings. you could have a pinhole leak in one of your radiator hoses or heater hoses or the weep hole on the water pump could be leaking or a gasket leak..

Edit: the drain plug is on the passenger side of my radiator.

Ok thanks and I have searched everywhere for a leak on everyline I could physically get to and can't fine a leak or anything....I still have water in my coolant tank and the lvl hasn't moved in 3 days so I think my car just spazzed on me Saturday lol. That's what I was thinking was the thermo might be bad also and not the heater core bc I've had no drainage of my fluids......I think I might go ahead and change the thermo to be safe and its fairly cheap o and also my ac lines haven't froze again either. I'm guessing my car was just having a bad day lol

A/C lines and your coolant/radiator and thermostat are completely different systems for the most part. If your A/C lines are freezing up, then you may be low on refridgerant or have a breech in the system.
