Default 2001 MT Shift issue

So, I bought a 2001 Neon ES on Saturday. I think I got a pretty good deal on it, and so far have done all the standard fluid check/changes and had to replace the Power Steering Pressure Sensor to get the Check Engine light to turn off so I could get it through DEQ. (It only had that code and the one about the battery being disconnected in the last 50 starts. The CEL also didn't come on until the day AFTER I bought the car, so I suspect that the last owner pulled the NEG cable to get the light to go off so he could sell it.)

The only issue left is this:
Occasionally I cannot shift when at a dead stop or barely rolling. The clutch pedal feels fine, (Just the right amount of pressure IMHO) I cannot get the stick to fall into any gear. I take my foot off the clutch, reapply it, and then it shifts perfectly smooth.

And, now 2 times I had this happen:
I am sitting at a red light or stop sign, with the car in 1st gear, and the clutch and brake applied. I barely release the brake and the car tries to move forward. (Just like an automatic would). Both times this has happened, I couldn't shift the car out of 1st, until I got moving and could take my foot all the way off of the clutch and then reapply it.

I did a search of the forums, and couldn't find anyone else with this exact same issue.

Any help with the issue, or to point me in the direction I need to start looking, would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds like you got some clutch problems.
