I was shopping around for air intakes and a friend of mine informed me that short ram inatkes are better than cold air intakes. I was wondering if this is true and do they make short ram for neons? Also i have narrowed my choices for cold air to iceman and k&N, which of these two is better to get? Any feedback would be appreciated

I'm not sure which brand is better, but I can try to explain the difference between a CAI and a SR. CAI, of course, places the air filter outside of the engine compartment, which allows colder air to flow into the engine, producing a denser mixture of gas. HOWEVER, you will notice a drop in low end torque, since a CAI kicks in around 3000 RPM. With a SR, you should not notice a loss of torque and you will have a high flow air filter, but you won't be getting the benefit of colder, denser air. The best setup (in my opinion), would be to have a SR with a custom enclosure which would cut off the heat from the engine. Choice is yours... colder air or keep the torque. Hope this helps. If I stated anything incorrectly, please feel free to tell me
