Default power steering pulley

Ok so I changed my power steering pulley and the belt about 2 weeks ago and now there is a whining noise coming from that vicinity...does anyone know what would be causing it? I have checked the belt to see if it was rubbing and its not I don't know what else it would be?

I checked it and its full but I'm starting to think its the altenator....I. had a 600 watt amp hooked to it but had it set to pull .6v well that's what the setting was so I turned it down....would that cause it?

Yes. Alternators can make a whining noise and the stock ones aren't the strongest out of the bunch.

I'd test it, or get it tested to be safe.

i had it tested and both guys said it was fine....obviously it wasnt whining when they tested it lol. could it be the bearings going bad in it? thats what i have heard but its not a big deal i wound up renting a car to be safe. I dont wanna be stuck on the side of the road lol especially with 2 kids.
