I bought my 2001 neon with an aftermarket cd player in it. I wanted to replace it with a factory 4 disc cd changer. It worked fine until it was bolted into place and I heard a pop and then no power to the radio or the overhead light or dash lights. I had all the fuses checked and they said they were fine. But my radio still doesn't work. Anyone know anything???

 

check all the fuses again. there might be one on the radio too. take the fuses out and check them, make sure that they are good.

 

That pop would usually indicate it shorted to ground IE fuse blows.
