I have a check engine light on in my 01 dodge neon. P1494 -leak detection pump fault or malfunction. I have located the ldp I believe under passenger side nex to fuel system. Is there a way to check this part before replacing?

 

Figure out which one is power and which one is ground and jump them, see if it runs.
