Okay guys, recently whenever the car is parked all night, then you jump in it first thing in the morning, whenever your shifting into second gear it will grind. yes the clutch is in all the way. the next time you go to shift, there will be no grinding. it only does it that first shift right in the morning, or after its been parked for over 7 hours. any suggestions??

 

My Mustang did that for awhile too and then went away. Maybe try a fluid change? I'm not an expert on manuals because the one I have works flawlessly; haven't had a need to learn more about them.

GM came out with a syncromesh fluid, I think it is, that supposedly addressed this issue in their transmissions.

Just some thoughts...

 

When you first shift in the morning try and skip 2nd and shift into 3rd see if that grinds.
