Default 2000 camshaft postion sensor?

Hello all. I have a few questions but before i get to those here are a few things you should now about what i have done so far. About a month ago i replaced the fuel pump, a week later the crankshaft position sensor. Last week i replaced the coil pack and wires and plugs. The car died on me about 2 weeks ago. The last code i had before it died was the the coil pack and misfire in clynder 3, that has sense been replaced. Now the code read P0340 Camshaft position sensor A Bank 1 circuit malfunction. I have replaced that, i think i have it installed correctly, but i will go out tomorrow and try and reinstall it, My question now is i have heard about a relay that will trip when the camshaft and crankshaft sensors go out. Something about stopping the car from catching on fire and stopping it from running. Is there really a relay that will do this and where is it located? Further more any help on what i should be looking for when i reinstall the sensor will be great? Please help, im tired of taking 2 loads of laundry to the matt on my motorcycle and need to get more than a backpack full of groceries.

the relay ur referring to is the ASD relay.
is possible that the relay is acting up , but id look into the installation of that cam sensor 1st
when did you do the cam sensor? same time as the crank sensor?

I just replaced the camshaft about an hour ago... it was getting dark, but i think i got it all together and put back in there correctly... when i take it apart tomorrow i was told to wipe away any sludge or build up of oil around the area and to look for the magnet that could have fallen out? I dont think i banged it up enough to knock anything loose but i will find out tomorrow. I have also found that this is a generic code that when it comes to dodge it could also be a bad timing belt that is throwing out this code... i hope like hell its not the timing but it wouldnt surprise me...
