Default 2004 SXT Cooling Fan/ AC Issues

Just yesterday both cooling fans stopped working and the engine no longer goes into a higher idle when the AC is on... I checked both relays for the fans and they both are working fine...

Any suggestions would help a lot.

Thanks

Have you tried to jump the fans to see if they'll run?

Ok, so here is the deal... I checked the relays and they are fine. I then energized the fans from their individual relays and neither one would go. I then spent the next couple hours scraping my knuckles and twisting my wrists and cussing at the connectors directly on the fans. I was able to get to the small (AC) fan first... I took my power probe and hooped it up directly to the fan and it took off. So I then tested the harness from the relay to the fan and it checked out fine as well. I plugged the harness back in to the fan motor and started the car with the ac on and the fan operated as it should. I then repeated the steps exactly for the main fan and same freakin thing...

So after all that headache it appears it was a bad connection at BOTH fan motors... Once the fans operate normally the AC compressor also operates normally which makes the car idle correctly.

Anyway, thank you guys for all your help!

Corey
