Ok my friend, now i have issues. The wiring manual and the wiring colors in my car dont match. For example the 3 wires on my camshaft sensor its orange in the corner, black and light green stripe in the middle and brown and yellow stripe in the other corner. Where the diagram shows orange, black and light brown and tangerie and yellow. So now what i do need is to know how is the pin configuration for the sensors then since im not going to be able to use the exact color coding to try to fix that. So what is pin number 1, 2, 3 then?

Well, problem solved! Bought another engine(2005) with less than 30k miles and everything is working perfect. There was no way i could use that 2000\2002 engine with the stock 2004 PCM. The crank shaft signal is way too different. So lesson learned the hard way. Admin please mark this thread as solved

Just in case someone is wondering why, i will try to explain it as simple as possible. 2000\2002 sensors use 8 volts instead of the 5 volts used by the 2003\2005 sensors. But even if you manage to regulate the voltage and get it up to 8 volts you will have a different signal sent to the PCM. Which gives a compatibility issue between those 2 engines, huge one in fact. Hope my bad experience helps people who may fall into the same trap and may ask themselves if this can be done. In my honest opinion its not worth even to try it.

Thank you for sharing the experience though, to help others in the future that may wonder about this very same thing!

If you read all of the previous posts in this thread, you'll find that information is already there. Hopefully you didn't find out by ordering the wrong year PCM...
