Hi everyone, I have a 2003 neon that died shortly after going through some deep water. We had a bad rain storm and had to drive through some deep puddles to get home, however it died before i made it home. Not sure what to check first. I am somewhat mechanically inclined and thinking computer problem any ideas???

 

Do you have a CAI?

 

hydro lock if it sucked up the water, if not then 8 year old car what kind of history on the plugs and more importantly the wires,

 

do you have full coverage insurance? if ur mechanic can prove the damage was due to rain/water puddle, most insurance policy will pay for it.
