Default Steering wheel shakes..

Well yesterday i was coming home from my friends house and on a sharp turn, some guy was on my side of the road and woulda hit me head on if i didnt swerve.. i ended up busting my passanger side hubcap and now my steering wheel shakes. The car dont move if i let the wheel loose it just shakes back and forth about 3/4 to 1 inch. Im conserned it could be serious, or just needs aligned. So any advice or tips on what it could be?

Have you gone over the suspension components to make sure nothing broke or came loose?

I replaced my hubcap today and discovered a broken wheel stub, how long can i let this go? i work 7-5 everyday and my weekends usually include helping at the house or visiting family.. so should this be immediate fix or what? i need time to find a garage.. so how long should i wait?

I suppose it's no worse than driving around with only 4 lug nuts as many people seem to do...
Me personally: I'd fix it ASAP. I'd think fixing a potential safety problem on a car you need would be a sufficient excuse to not do dishes at home or go hang out at with the family one time.
