First let me introduce myself, My name is Rich and the proud new owner of a used 2000 neon Lx.

When I try to lock/unlock the doors with the key fob or the the switches on the doors the only door that locks is the front passenger and when I try to unlock none of them work.

There is a noise that I liken to a nuke powering up, kind of like a screeching whine when i try to lock/unlock the doors.


I'm kind of leaning towards the accuators being no good.


Any suggestions or advice will be greatly appreciated!
