Default Should I have also replaced my belt tensioner?

I had a slight squeal on start ups in the morning so i determined my serpentine belt needed to be replaced. after inspection, it was in horrible shape.

I replaced the belt and upon starting it up, the noise was gone.

Recently though, the noise returned and im trying to determine whether its due to bad bearrings, other belts or pulleys, or maybe i need a new belt tensionor? should i have replaced anything else?

can automatic spring loaded tensionors wear out?

I heard somewhere that the belt should only have about 90 degrees of 'play', but mine seems to have about 180 degrees of give.

I do not know when the last time the timing belt or other components were replaced ( i just purchased the car in october )

timing belt replacement is 105,000 miles or 10 years. If the previous owner cant provide you with proof that they replaced it, then I would do it. If it breaks, you are looking at major expenses.
