Default Finally! Pics of my Neon

So I had to remove all my carpet so I decided to give it a good cleaning inside and out and figured I'd finally take a few pics of it. The whole interior used to be that tan color but I decided to paint the console, dash, front pillars, and piece that goes around the steering wheel black. Also have my oil pressure gauge mounted in my air vent. I got bored with the stock shift **** so I made one out of a skull I had lying around and a skull door lock cover. All the bodywork was done by the P.O. and I plan on fixing that within the next few months.

I've always liked that color! Nice job on getting rid of the tan, lol. I'll never buy/own a car with a tan interior...unless it is free. Clever job on the vent gauge pod. They have 'em for the Mustangs and everyone seems to like them on there. Maybe I'll pick up an extra vent the next time I'm at the JY and mess around with it. Of course, I could always get around to installing the gauge pod and gauges I've had lying around for a couple of years now...

Thanks. I still have 80% of the interior to paint and use seat covers on to fully get rid of the tan. I'm not too fond of the paint on the outside so that's getting changed once I do the body work. I didn't feel like spending the extra money on a separate pod and didn't have a good place to mount it anywhere else so out came the wire cutters lol. I'll fiberglass around it which should make it look a little better.

Someplace, somewhere on the internet was selling solid vents that had a 2 1/16" hole for the gauges. I like that better since it doesn't completely block off air flow, though, that one doesn't do too much.

You could get something like Nite Shadez and it'd be like black chrome.

Worth a shot if you are thinking of repainting it anyways.

Oh yeah, I'm going with either red and black or black and blue theme. Since I already have some red accents I think I'm going that route.. Luckily for me the Wal Marx $1 spray paint works great for my interior pieces so $10 to change the interior color plus the cost of seat covers and fabric for a headliner. I'm a cheap bastard lol.
