Why Does My Neon Run With The Cam Sensor UnPlugged???

why is this!?
its a 2004 Neon
that will run with the cam sensor unplugged...
should this be happening...
why?

With a cam sensor plugged in the type of system that is running is a sequential port FI.

With out it it is batch fired, it fires them all together.....it will run but not great.
