Default P0700 code and more..

So I've gotten the no start issue fixed. CHEW* you were right. The cam pin sheared off and the cam gear rotated 180 degrees and the pistons smacked the brand new exhaust valves. After a new head and some other parts, the engine runs. The new issue is, when I put the car in drive, it stalls. It will go in reverse just fine. I pulled codes and found a P0700 code. Which is a general transaxle fault code. Anyone got hints? I wish there was an emoticon of a horse crapping. It would fit this particular car.

New info: I've read the codes and I'm getting a P0562 system voltage low code, 2 of the P0016 crank/cam position correlation code, 2 of the P0344 cam position sensor circuit intermittent, and 2 of the P0340 cam pos. sensor A circuit.
Question....Does a new PCM have to be taught anything other than the initial programming of the part number, the mileage and that stuff?

Unhappy More new info

I now have the car running and moving. The new issue is that it's stuck in first gear. The transmission fluid level was low. Any ideas on where to go from here? Any help would be appreciated.

How did you pull the code(s)? With a scanner? What year is your car again?

I initially pulled the codes with my cheapo scanner and later had a guy with a snapon scanner pull the codes. He was able to clear all but the P0344. I can deal with that later, right now my main worry is getting this thing to shift. The car is a 2003.

The majority of the possible causes for camshaft position codes is the wiring. You'll need to go over it to make sure there are no breaks, grounded or broken wires. Next likely culprit is the sensor itself, which should be replaced with a Mopar unit. After that, on the rare occasion, it could be the cam magnet. Usually either the wiring or the sensor are the cause though...
