Vibration w/ no steering problems; ideas?
'04 Dodge SX.
Hey,
This is a pretty general question. Any input would be appreciated
.
My entire car vibrates at certain speeds, while coasting.
If I press the gas or brake, the vibrations stop.
I thought it might be my tires, but the problem has actually worsened since I have put my winter tires on (new rims, balanced, aligned, everything).
Before, the vibration would happen between 60-80kmh (approx. 37-50 mph)
Now it's pretty constant at 50kmh (31mph).
Fortunately, this vibrating does not affect my steering at all. Car doesn't pull in either direction ever.
Anyone have any ideas? I'm thinking tie rod ends, possibly?
Thanks, - Natalie -

sooo $180 later, it was a tie rod end ... my mechanic was actually pretty pissed at my tire guy b/c he missed it ... He took me out on the floor and showed me how friggin loose it was ... DEFINITELY explained the crazy vibrations.
ya 180 dollars...wow i paid 15 nucks for my outer tie rod and did it myself and ya it willl give u vibrasions cause the wheel will wobble. good to hear u figured it out cause figuring out the problem on any car is the biggest battle to fixing it..
