05 Neon SXT Project Car - Need your help.
Hey Guys,
I have an 05 SXT Manual that I want to do a little work on. First of all I need to fix the trans. I am on my second set of synchronizers and clutch. I am 24 and I have never owned a single automatic vehicle, I promise I know how to shift...I'm just a little hard of my cars.
For the trans: I need to replace the clutch, I am looking for a moderately priced performance clutch, any suggestions? Also, I am not sure if I need to replace the basket as well. I have about 73,000 on the car and about 30,000 on the factory clutch. As far as the synchronizers go I am getting near the point of having to replace them as well, any suggestions on a good supplier?
I already have a K&N Cold Air Kit and MSD Ignition System. I want to squeeze a little more power out of this little 2.0 liter mill, any suggestions? I want to keep the same injectors in the car and not totally screw my gas mileage (at 4.17 a gallon). I like the idea of getting a cam, but I'm not sure if there is anything else that I would need to accompany the cam to keep the car reliable and running smoothly.
I am open to just about anything, but I don't have the cash to throw a turbo on and I don't want go into a full aftermarket exhaust system. Anything with dyno results is awesome.
