I'm not exactly sure what causes it, but it happens. People will go out to start their car one day, and can't. The fix requires the SKIM to be reprogrammed with the DRBIII. A dealership or shop with the tool can do it.

Yeah that red light is generally an indication of a security system malfunction.

Thanks for the help I guess its off to the dealer unable to find anyone else to make a new key or reprogram the old ones.
