'00 rumbling at 25 & 45mph
Hi there. First time poster here, although I could have sworn that I had registered awhile back while troubleshooting my '03 Dakota.
Anyway... I recently bought a '00 Neon (actually branded as a Plymouth) with an auto 3 speed and 135K on it. Got it at a good price, so I knew I was going to have some work to do.
What I am noticing is a rumble around 25 and 45mph, especially if I am getting on the gas. At first, it seemed to be happening at the high end of gears 1 & 2, but it also seems to be there (albeit not as severe) if it is running around 45 mph low in 3rd gear. The ride is nice and smooth any other time, until I get over 65mph, but I am pretty certain that is a rear wheel bearing.
Any ideas what I'm dealing with here? Thanks in advance.
