Question 2005 neon sxt noise drivers side

Hi all, I have noise that sounds like a air leak or exhaust leak when it is in park and starts again at around 2000rpm. When I put it in rev or drive it stops until it gets up to 2000rpm. It is on the drivers side only, louder when listening from the driver side wheel well. It keeps getting louder the more I have to drive it. Any help will be appreciated, thanks

Your exhaust runs down the middle of the car until about before the Drivers rear tire then it goes behind that wheel wheel and the muffler stretches all the across the rear bumper..

Climb underneath your car and look for any visible holes in the muffler.

If you are feeling really daring try and get as close to the noise as possible and use your hands to feel (without touching any of the hot exhaust) for rushing air.

I have checked the exhaust from the manifold to the muffler it is all good. It sounds like it is coming from around the transmission or motor.

I have just replaced the torque converter, fliter, and oil as sugessted by other mechanics around where i live. I checked the flex plate while i had it apart also for cracks and rubbing. i have more power than before. The blowing/clicking sound is still coming from the transmission area. does any one have any ideas what may be causing this noise?????????
