3 spd worth it?

Getting a whole new car, or going through the project of swapping a 5 speed in, is no where near worth it to have a second or less faster car. That's just me though. A shift kit will improve the shifting (how much I don't know), and be a whole lot cheaper and quicker to do. Search the internet. There's got to be a comparison somewhere. You want quicker on the cheap: gut the interior.

il look into the shift kit for now, but if i find a deal on a first gen il probably get it. more worth it in the end if i wanna build it up as time goes on.

Even with the shift kit an auto will always be slower than a manual. You get more power to the wheels because there's less parasitic loss with a manual with an automatic.
