Default SRT-4 Cluster

I know this question is asked so many times it's stupid. But I'm wanting to put an SRT4 cluster into my 2000 SE. Is that possible? I understand now that all neon clusters are digital?

Yup it's a simple plug and play.

Does it matter if the cluster came from an automatic, going into a manual? I know the SRT-4 doesn't come with an automatic transmission, I'm getting one from an SXT.

Nope. I have a 2000 with an auto and put in a cluster from a 2003 SXT with a manual because of the tach.

Awesome. So if I'm understanding this correctly, the cluster isn't programmed a certain way. However the car is programmed is what is displayed? I figured that it would work regardless, just I didn't know if the "PRND321" display would show or anything.

I doesn't show that on any Neon cluster that I'm aware of.

Hmm. Good to know. Thanks a bunch for the advise . What tools will I need for the install? Obviously a Phillips head screwdriver, but I heard I needed a torx as well? What size torx do I need? What is the general procedure for installation?

Phillips to remove the dash pad and cluster trim. Then the cluster literally just pops out. Pop the new one in and reinstall everything. One thing though, the ABS light might be on (it's either that, or the brake light). Can't remember for sure as it has been some time since a cluster topic has been brought up. The SRT has a system that other Neons don't.

I'm actually just getting a '04 SXT cluster. But thanks, that helps. It's a lot simpler than I though.
