Default Oil catch can?

What is it? What are the benefits of having one? Would I benefit from having one on a almost stock motor?

1. Catches oil from the PCV valve on it's way into the intake.
2. Keeps oil out of the intake, and subsequently, the top end of the engine (and intercooler/supercharger/etc., if you have one).
3. Yes.

OK. How would I go about getting one? What all do I need?

Some chemical resistant line, a couple of barbed fittings and a mini air compressor filter like this one: http://www.homedepot.com/buy/tools-h...ter-61421.html

Connect from the PCV valve to the filter and then back to the intake. On one of the cars I put the filter on, I glued the bottom to make sure nothing would leak out (a bit different when it's water from a compressor and not oil from an engine, lol).

Your line will probably be something like 3/8"

The filter goes in-line on the PCV valve line. That line runs from the PCV valve to the intake manifold.
