Default 2004 Dodge Neon Head

Hello,

I have a 2004 Dodge Neon. I had to have the Values replaced. I was told that the Head on my car is not the the head that came standard on the 2004 Dodge Neon, rather it came standard in the 2004 Jeep. I am confused, how can this be?

The Exhaust Values that come standard for the 2004 Dodge Neon Have one grove at the end. The Exhaust Values that came in my 2004 have three groves that the end. So far, the mechanic that I have doing the job said (and he showed me) the standard set of values for the 2004 Neon and the 2004 Jeep. The 2004 Jeep Values have the three groves and the end, but are a quarter inch to long.

Has anyone ever hear of this happening, and what should I do?

I figured it out, it is not the head to a Jeep, although the Jeep does have a 3 grove exhaust valve, so does the Dodge Neon for engine years 2003 through 2005. I have been looking a pictures of exhaust valve and see what his problem is. He is trying to use the valves from engine years 1995 - 1999, which use a single grove exhaust value.

Although from what I read these exhaust valves were used in multiple dodge cars for engine years 2003 to 2005 because the 2.0 L engine being place in multiple Dodge cars.

I need to call the mechanic out on this. This pisses me off that he was trying to tell me that Dodge placed parts from a different car in this one. I am into this guy for $540 so far. Man lesson learned.
