Just spent the last 3 months rebuilding an 01 Neon. Only problem it had was the #1 rod got spun, didn't break the block though. Had it running for a few days, but with a cam sensor code, and also the speedometer wasn't working.

Replaced all the sensors at this point, even got a new wiring harness and coil pack, and now it cranks but isn't starting/sparking. I don't have a DRBIII laying around, so not sure what I can do at this point.

Right now it's setting no codes at all. Ideas?

Edit: If it is the SKIM, wouldn't that set a code?

 

If it's SKIM you'll typically have a little red light on in the dash that won't go out. Make sure everything is plugged in.
