Unhappy Oil in spark plug tube

Hey guys and gals. My 00' Neon is misfiring again. I had this same problem when i bought the car. I have already removed the valve cover to remove the tube, put loctite, and put the tube back in place with a 2x4 and a hammer. I noticed the oil is coming from the spark plug gasket. Did i hammer the tube in too deep? Any help will greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks Tejas. Great write up. I think the problem is the PCV valve. I guess the previous owner broke it and still put it in crooked. I will start with replacing the PVC and go from there.
