Default Glasspack

I have a 2000 dodge neon, 5 speed.
I have a friend who is willing to give me a glasspack, but I am not up to installing it myself (16, not alot of tools, not alot of experience either), my dad can install it, but he is against it (against all mods at that) though I can probably convince him if I really try.
What are some pros/cons of putting a cherrybomb glasspack on my neon?

I can get the glasspack installed at a shop down the road for about $15-$20 though, might do that, still want pros/cons just so I know what to look forward to.
The glasspack is being taken off of a car and shipped to me, so I'm not sure how long it was on the car, I will try to figure that out soon.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

EDIT - he had the glasspack on a jetta, drove it maybe 25 miles, then took it off soo..

It probably won't do very much for you performance wise honestly. They're loud.. if you're into that.

I don't have a muffler, just a 3" diameter, 15" long exhaust tip. Basically the same thing as a Cherrybomb. Here's a few clips of what mine sounds like.

Doesn't sound bad.
One of my old friends says that he has noticed increase in mpg (albeit very slight, still an increase)
Is this a common result, or just him talking about something he knows nothing of?

I had a straightpipe on my Neon at one point. Couldn't notice any performance or mileage gains at all. It's such a small variable when it comes to that kind of stuff. Especially with the stock intake.

The only thing you'll probably notice is the sound difference.

Just kidding! A 15" pipe is nothing like a cherrybomb. In the non ricer world, we V8 guys call that - "Straight Piping" and it usually sounds like ****.

Forgive me, I'll throw some fiberglass in there and put another pipe that has a bunch of holes and then see how it sounds. Would that get your panties out of a bunch? I still have the cat so it still isn't straight piped. I went from a '92 F150 with a 5.0 to this and come tax season, I'll be in another V8 F150 and have that one loud, too. I like my vehicles loud.

I may have some videos on my old myspace account. It wasn't my car but similar setup.

Mine was newer than yours though and had the SRT catback on it so it sounded a little different.

Yes actually it would, thanks. It's too bad you enjoy those 5.4L Tritons so much. They really seem to be lacking in the bulge.
