This is the story of a car, one car not so different than your own (sadly). The car in question has low mileage (really low 100,000 kms) for its year (2005) and has been well maintained.

Suddenly last night the air conditioner started to make a loud rattling sound. And the sound only comes from the left side of the console. When I place my hand there i feel a slight vibration that is not felt anywhere else in Disappointy (that is what I named my car). PLaying with the air conditioner setting changes the pitch a bit too.

Normally I would take said car to a garage but due to me moving in the next week, I need the car working!

Any advice would be much appreciated!

 

Ok it get weirder.....

Now I get a different light when I turn on my high beams than normal (a green light that lights face down) and the rattling stops when my lights are on....

WTF????

Going to try and replace the lights tonight see if that is the problem
